Designed for die preparation or pontic restoration applications, providing reliable performance and precision fit. Zirconia crowns achieve an exceptional equilibrium between biological compatibility, mechanical toughness, and restorative aesthetics.
As a trustworthy and permanent solution, they serve patients who desire restorations that mimic the function of natural teeth while avoiding the potential issues linked to metal alloys.
Zirconia is one of the strongest dental ceramics available. It exhibits a flexural strength ranging from 900 to 1,200 MPa, making it highly resistant to cracking and chipping under chewing forces. Clinical studies demonstrate that monolithic zirconia crowns offer a fracture load significantly higher than metal-ceramic or lithium disilicate crowns.
Unlike Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM) crowns, zirconia contains no metal. This eliminates the risk of allergic reactions, gum irritation, and the unsightly "dark line" that often appears at the gum margin due to metal exposure over time.
Modern zirconia (such as High-Translucency or "HT" types) is engineered with gradient technology, mimicking the natural light transmission of tooth enamel. Premium products also offer inherent, tooth-like fluorescence, causing the crown to glow naturally under UV light.
